Insights into an independent tour
Here’s an interesting article posted by US independent band POMPLAMOOSE about the costs and realities of putting together their 28 day Autumn tour in which they played 24 dates in 23 cities.
It’s useful to read, whatever country you are based in, as it gives insights into ALL areas and aspects of a tour that independent artists have to take on board and deal with, obviously for the band at their level of success/exposure.
We aren’t saying the band has done everything correctly or following best practice in all areas – it’s just a useful article to prompt thought and to give a dose of reality too – whatever level you and your music are at, at this moment in time, especially if you are ‘indie’ with regards to your own management and/or record label.
