How Does it Work

Get Your Music onto Online Digital Music Sites

Doxmedia is your easy ‘one-stop shop’ for getting your valued music onto all major online digital music sites and platforms WORLDWIDE. Forget the aggravation of continually filling in masses of paperwork, dealing with piles of administration and paying out ‘annual registration renewal’ or ‘digital storage’ type fees, Doxmedia will take care of all of this for you so all you have to do is concentrate on creating and/or performing your music

Then, every three months we’ll send you a statement and payment for all of the royalties that your music has earned for you from streaming and downloads and has been paid to us within that period. All this for a one off adiministration/registration fee per release and then 10% of all royalties earned on a non-exclusive contract!

Your Audio

You can supply your music as WAVs via large file transfer internet services (such as WeTransfer) or a copy of a manufactured CD, or a copy of a final CD production master (on CD-R to red book CD standard), or a copy of your release (in the required running order) on CD-R as WAV audio files. All WAV files are to be supplied as 44.1khz, 16-bit, stereo quality.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. if supplying Audio CDRs they should be written as audio files and NOT data files.

2. Only one release per disc regardless of whether releases are albums, EPs or singles.

IMPORTANT: You must be the copyright owner of all of the RECORDINGS (not the songwriting) supplied or have the full permission of the copyright owner of the recordings to submit them to Doxmedia and to collect royalties from them. Doxmedia will not get involved in discussions between parties over permission to use masters/releases

Text & Copy

We need details of all the songs featured on each release (in the same running order as on the release). Details means:

  • Song/track name
  • Song/track running time
  • Writer(s) (music)
  • Author(s) (lyrics)
  • Song Publisher (Name and Country)
  • Song Copyright date if known (date song originally published)
  • All performers on each song/track and what they instrument(s)/vocals they played/performed
  • ISRC No (if one allocated)

We need the original release date of your release – this can be in the past or future. We need to know what music genres you’d like your release(s) listed under on our contact sites (eg. Rock, jazz, rap, MOR etc).We also need a short band/artist bio that we are able to submit to all our contacts along with details of any all artist websites and social media pages (Facebook, Twitter etc). Doxmedia reserves the right to edit the supplied text if needed in order to meet any of our contacts requirements.

Images & Artwork

The cover art image of each release. Ideally supplied as:

JPEG, TIFF or PDF file format, 300 DPI, 3000 x 3000 pixels, RGB

(No colour masks/filters or crop/fold marks)

You can also supply us with a picture/image of the band/artist or a band/artist logo for us to submit to all our contacts. All such images must be supplied as JPEG, TIFF or PDF

Other Requirements

A completed doxmedia.co.uk contract. You can download a word (.doc) or PDF version of the contract from the CONTRACT & INFO SHEETS column on the right hand side of this page. Details of who to send statements to and who to pay royalties to. All royalties will be paid in UK STERLING. The correct registration & administration fee. This fee covers all of the collective registration charges we have to pay to our contacts and a very small setting up administration charge for our time.

Fee PER RELEASE is:

Album =  £32.00 (Anything above 35 minutes running time regardless of number of tracks)

EP =  £20.00 (Anything up to 35 minutes AND usually less than 6 tracks)

Single = £15.00 (Anything from 1 to 2 tracks)

You can pay by PAYPAL or bank transfer (details on request)

What Happens Next ?

Once we’ve received all of the above, it may take up to 4-6 weeks to get your release(s) onto all of the sites of our contacts around the world. We always aim to be as quick as possible but once the audio and art arrives at our various contacts we are at the mercy of their timetables and workloads.

Then, every three months (for periods ending 28th February, 31st May, 31st August and 30th November) we will send you a statement and any royalties we’ve received for your music with that 3 month period, less our 10% commission. We aim to send out all statements and payments within one month of the period end date. Payments will be made directly by transfer into a bank account or via PAYPAL and your statement(s) emailed to you.  Should your royalties within a given 3 month accounting period amount to less than £10.00 in total (after commission), the amount due will be carried forward to the next 3 month accounting period. In this instance, a royalty statement will still be supplied via email giving you full details of the amount to be carried forward

12 months after the signing date of a contract for a particular release you are free to ask us to remove it from our various contacts listings. We will still pay you any royalties that are received after that date. If you do not instruct us, we will leave your release online. It’s as simple as that!
