Leeds-born singer-songwriter Deborah’s songs are an expression of lessons and experiences in her journey of life and faith. She describes her songs as drawing on musical influences from modern Christian worship and gospel to jazz, pop, folk and even a hint of musical theatre and Disney!

Inspired in part by increased awareness and appreciation of the beauty of birdsong during the peace and quiet of the UK’s COVID lockdowns and restrictions “Blackbird” has laid-back jazz/blues vibes which mark a new stylistic direction for Deborah’s writing. The track features a more improvised and free-style vocal feel to her previous releases.
