Patrick Hawes is a composer who has made his mark as a tourchbearer of the English musical tradition of Vaughan Williams and Delius. He first came to public recognition in 2002 with the release of his debut album ‘Blue in Blue’. It was made album of the week on the leading UK national radio station Classic FM and Patrick consequently became the Classic FM ‘Composer in Residence’ for 2006-7.
He has gone on compose and release several critically acclaimed albums including the ‘Highgrove Suite’ for HRH Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales which was premiered live at his residence Highgrove House by the Philharmonia. Patrick has also worked with some of the UK’s finest musicians including Julian Lloyd Webber, Christian Forshaw and Hayley Westenra.

This 2015 re-issue of ‘Blue In Blue’ features new cover art and the track listing is now in the running order Patrick always wanted. When originally released in 2002 this album was a nominee for the prestigious Classical Brit Album of the Year award.
