Sharon Sewell is UK singer and songwriter who is proud to have been born and lived her life in Middlesborough in the north east of England and, as she puts it, her “down to earth northern roots”. (A haunting image of the famous transporter bridge features on the cover art).
Sharon recalls. “It is not uncommon for people in this deprived town to be affected by poverty and the problems social deprivation brings. I was born into poverty, and I remember the effects and strains this had on my family. I spent my young adult life seeking all the world around me had to offer until I had a spiritual awakening in September 2008 when I encountered the gospel message of Jesus and became a Christian which has radically changed me from the inside out. I am now working as a Children’s & Families Lay Worker for the Methodist Church”.
This 7 song mini-album is a collection of songs that Sharon has written over the last 9 years and in them she recounts the experiences and revelations she has had along the way. Her hope is that these beautiful and powerful songs will speak into the hearts and lives of the listener’s lives too.
