Album Description

This is the third album from the Gospel Blues power trio that is the Tim Crahart Blues Band. Once again, this album mixes some great originals with some (as the band describe them) ‘re-packaged’ traditional Gospel Blues classics – such as ‘Jesus on the Mainline’ and Blind Willie Johnson’s ‘Soul of a Man’.

Musically, there are respectful nods to some of their guitar heroes such as Eric Clapton (& Cream), Robert Cray, Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green and also Gary Moore. Check out ‘Lady Gets The Blues’.

Of the album’s title track, Tim says “The lyrics and melody came first and only afterwards did I realise I’d written a song in waltz time with a minor V chord in the chorus which is very unlike me. As soon as it was finished I knew it would be the title track”.
